September 15
Dear Parishioners,
In the coming weeks and months, I will keep you informed of the preparations leading up to the 75th anniversary celebration. One memorable event the committee is planning is unveiling the new Saint Theresa shrine at the front of the church. The shrine will be the center of a new stone paver path ("Path to 75") that will connect the ADA entrance to the top landing of the front steps. The unveiling of the Saint Theresa statue should be a spiritual and joyous moment for our congregation. It will signify the bountiful and resilient history the parish has endured, as well as a testimony of our hope and faith Saint Theresa's parish will endure another 75 years.
A photo rendering of the path and Saint Theresa's shrine can soon be found at the entrances to the church. The rendering is a draft visualization of what is being proposed, and the final design may change. Cost would factor in downsizing what is presented in the photo rendering. Parishioners can support the "Path to 75" by donating an engraved stone paver brick. Engrave your family name, loved one's name, or anything you'd like to memorialize into the "Path to 75" and at the feet of Saint Theresa Shrine.
Parishioners are called to donate towards the future of Saint Theresa's church by memorializing their parish life for another 75 years.
Details and Brick Donation Forms will be available at photo rendering locations.
SHARE YOUR HISTORY: September 9 Notice
The 75th Anniversary Parish Book needs parishioners to share their lives at Saint Theresa's Parish by sharing memorable moments through photos, letters, and other interesting historical documents. Ways to share can be found on the parish website, or in 9/10/23 bulletin.
We have a limited number of pages in the parish book, and there is no guarantee we will have enough pages for all the photos and documents we receive. The committee will review all submissions and use the best to fill the available space.
LOGO CONTEST: September 1 Notice
We hope creative parishioners of all ages, including students, will consider entering the logo contest. The rules for the contest can be found on the Saint Theresa website.
Questions about the contest can be sent via email to boblaurie57@yahoo.com
